New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2022 at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Misti S. Romero, 40, who was called home on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Interment will be at a later date.
Deacon Durk Viator will officiate
Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Misti Shawndell Romero was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on January 30, 1982, to Prentis "Bill" Floyd and the late Carla Pearl Delosey Floyd, and worked as a dog groomer. Misti loved being outdoors, and her love for animals, gardening and her children will live on forever through her memory. She will always be remembered for her outspoken spirit and kind heart.
Mrs. Romero is survived by her loving husband, Jarrod Romero; her father, Prentis "Bill" Floyd; her children, Jannah and Jance Buteaux; stepson, Dylan Romero; her godchildren and sister-in-law, Star Johanna Guidry, Brittlyn Guillory, Kaylee Guillory, Skylar Guillory, and Baylyn Guillory; and her fur babies whom she adored, Bella, Stella Artois, and Gizzy Romero.
In addition to her mother, Misti was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Scott Guillory; maternal grandmother, Estella Delosey Benoit; and an uncle, Russel Joseph Benoit.
