Mitchell Kempinski, 68, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away on June 12, 2025. Mitchell is survived by his loving family.
Mitchell "Mitch" Joseph Kempinski passed away June 12, 2025, at the age of 68, in Port Richey, Florida. He was born February 8, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of the late, Wallace and the late Joan Kempinski. Mitch was one of seven siblings:

The late Richard Kempinski
James "Jim" Kempinski and his wife Cindi and their children Nicole and Kara
Joseph "Joe" Kempinski and his wife Karla
Donna Sutherland and her husband James "Jim" Sutherland and their son Daniel
Joan "Joanie" Selakowski and her husband Bob Selakowski and their children Joey, Erika, Luke, and Ella
Mitch is also remembered by many cousins and extended family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sheri Jaikaran, her husband Andy Jaikaran and Mitch's cherished grandchildren, Dominic and Logan Jaikaran. Mitch was long supported by Sheri, her family, including her in-laws, as well as his ex-wife Donna Kempinski.
Mitch had a deep love for his family, coaching sports, teaching karate, and animals – but his greatest passion was music. A gifted musician, he wrote, produced and performed music throughout his life. He was inducted into the Michigan Polka Hall of Fame and was even nominated for a Grammy Award.
