Mitchell Todd Mantooth, age 59, of Vale, passed away October 20, 2025, at his home. Todd was born November 3, 1965, in Gaston County, to Darlene Lutz Mantooth and the late Bobby Eugene Mantooth, Sr.
Todd was a graduate of Bessemer City Highschool and played many sports, including baseball. He also coached baseball with the Tryon Optimist Club. He enjoyed being outdoors and riding his Harley. “PawPaw Todd” loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed dearly.
In addition to his father, Todd was preceded in death by his friend and mother of his children, Mollie Arndt.
Todd is survived by his children, Lacey Mantooth (Greg Wilson), Leah Avery (Jacob), and Mitchell Mantooth, II (Keisha); siblings, Bobby Mantooth, Jr. (Christina), and Lisa Mantooth; and grandchildren, Lawson, Kinsley, and Holden Carver, Addie “Bug”, Waylon, Rudy, and J.J. Avery, and Emma, Caden, and Levi Mantooth.
In accordance with Todd’s wishes, all services will be private.
