Mitchell Rebman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vistoso Funeral Home on Feb. 26, 2026.
Mitchell "Hoss" Rebman, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2026.

From Rushville, Illinois, Mitch made his home in Oro Valley, Arizona, where he built a life centered on service, family, and love. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Mitch's greatest pride was the family he cherished so deeply.

A gifted athlete in his youth, Mitch earned a full-ride football scholarship to Illinois State University, where he proudly played collegiate football. The discipline, teamwork, and determination he demonstrated on the field carried him into his military career.

Mitch honorably served for 33 years with the Air National Guard, retiring in 2017, with the distinguished rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to his country reflected the strength of his character and his deep sense of duty where he continued his career in the Defense Industry, retiring in 2025. He carried that same integrity and loyalty into every part of his life.

Above all, Mitch (aka Handsome) loved his family. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife of 27 years, Lori Rebman, and together they lived by their favorite saying, "Always and Forever." He was a proud father to his son, Griffin Rebman (wife Kristin Rebman), and his daughter, Addi Eisenfeld (Husband Tyler Eisenfeld). His greatest joy in recent years was being Grandpa to his little partner, his grandson, Scott Mitchell Eisenfeld, with whom he treasured every moment.

Mitch also leaves behind his loving mother, Jackie Rebman (Ron Rebman (deceased)) and his brother, Barry Rebman (Cathy Rebman). He was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a man whose quiet kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

In his free time, Mitch loved golfing and spending time with family - simple moments that meant the most to him. Whether on the golf course or gathered with loved ones, he found happiness in connection and companionship.

A service to honor and celebrate Mitch's life will be held on February 27, 2026, at Vistoso Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm. We will be planning an Illinois service at a later date.

Mitch's legacy of service, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, Always and Forever.
