Mitchell E. Weimer

Born 11/12/1956. Passed away 3/21/25 in Westland, Mi. Mitchell attended St. John Lutheran School and also Sunday services at St. John Lutheran Church in Westland. Mitchell continued his education at John Glenn High School. As a co-op student he worked his first job for North Bros. Ford in the Parts Dept. He graduated from John Glenn in 1974. After graduation he travelled with friends to California where he spent 20 years taking some college courses, learning to play the guitar and working varied skilled jobs. Upon returning to Michigan he began his dedicated career of 25 years at the Westland Department of Public Services where he worked diligently until his retirement in November, 2022. Mitchell had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing his guitars. He was a caring, friendly and generous person who extended help to neighbors with clearing snow and other yard chores. He is fondly remembered by family and friends for his sense of humor and contagious laugh. He is lovingly remembered by sisters Laurie (Weimer) and Robert Wood, Mary Beth (Weimer) and Theodore Corbeill, as well as his nieces Laura, Karen, and Claire, and nephews Grant, Theodore Jr., David, and Charlie. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Marilyn Weimer in 2019.
Mitchell's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be missed.
