Mittens Bata Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Liming Family Funeral Home on Sep. 4, 2025.
Mittens Bata, lovingly known as "Mimi," the beloved domestic shorthair girl of the Bata family of Greenfield, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Mimi was born in Tennessee, and she became a member of the Bata family in 2012, and from the day little Mimi arrived at her new home, she was loved.

What Mimi's family loved the most about her was her spunky attitude. They described her personality as a "sassy bitch." Mimi was a smart girl. Her family shared one of their favorite memories of Mimi was when she learned how to open the garage door to bring in her kittens.

There were two things that Mimi was not a fan of: being groomed and riding in the car. One of Mimi's favorite pastimes was shredding paper; according to her family, "she liked to shred paper with her teeth."

What Mimi's family felt she valued the most in life was "treats, attention, and beating up Dibbles."

Those who knew and loved Mimi knew that she earned her nickname of "Bitch" honestly; she was also known by her family as "Szmata," "Boulder," and "Meemers."

Mimi wasn't a picky girl when it came to food; according to her family, "she just liked to eat" but she was especially fond of Temptations Lickable Spoons, coffee cream, and Krakus Ham.

Mimi pretty much liked everyone in the family with the exception of the other cats.

Mimi's family absolutely loved her and will forever remember her sassy attitude and spunky spirit. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Mimi Bata.
