Mrs. Molly Harris Carter, age 71 of Ronda, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at Hugh Chatham Hospital. She was born in Surry County on August 5, 1953, to James Hardin Harris and Lula Combs Harris.
She loved dogs, camping, riding horses, boating, fishing and her family.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband David Rex Carter of the Ronda, sons David Richard Carter and wife Brandi of Hamptonville, Mickey Rex Carter and wife Lynda of Ronda; sisters Marlene Guyer of State Road, Judy Calloway of Statesville; grandchildren Brandon Carter, Cody Carter, Ashley Wood, Chelsea King, Colt Carter; great-grandchildren Bentley Kings, Autumn Carter, Hazel Wood, Wynter King, Addeigh Wood, Elaina King, Camryn Wood; niece Amy Guyer.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel.
