Mona Lucille George (nee Lynch), 96, of Shiloh, IL, born on October 24, 1928, in Centralia, IL, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at her residence in Shiloh, IL.
Mona was a lifetime member of the American Legion 137 Fischer-Sollis Post, active with the O'Fallon Senior Center, and as an ever-supportive wife that was proud of her late husband's career, remained active with his union, the Local 520 Operating Engineers. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Gillis Hamblin and Lola Felts (nee Lynch); her stepfather, Raymond Felts; her beloved husband, Paul George; and her son, Ronald George.
Left to cherish Mona's memory are her daughter, Nancy (Wally) Ogle of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Barbara George of Shiloh, IL; three grandchildren, Tom (Tammi) George of Atlanta, GA, Michael (Melissa) George of Troy, IL, Nicole (Aaron) Moser of Aurora, CO; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie George, Ella George, Ruby George, Wyatt Moser, and Bruce Moser.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., at Schildknecht Funeral Home; 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Schildknecht Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Ridenour officiating. Burial will take place at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
