Danny J. George, 76, of McDonald, North Fayette Township, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in his home.

Danny was born on July 11, 1949 in McDonald, a son of the late William H. and Hannah Niehaus George Sr.

In his younger years, Danny enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed climbing to the highest point to have the best view of the land. Upon his retirement from truck driving with Darling International, Danny was able to dedicate more time to what he truly loved, farming. He and his wife, Rosemarie, owned and worked the Jersey Hill Farm. Tending to the cows and his farm were his joy. He was proud of everything his farm provided for his family and friends. Danny was truly the kindest soul you could meet.

Danny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie Reese George, children, John (Renee Wolanski) George, Shelley (Jerry) Jobkar, and Daniellie George Matesic (James Henry), grandchildren, Wade Jobkar (Hannah Herford), Bryce (Veronica) Jobkar, Alyssa Matesic (Frank Ciulla), John Matesic (Nia Robertson), Ryan George (Victoria Brown), Jackson Henry, and Kylie Buxton. Also surviving are his brother, Harvey George, and sisters, Darlene George Kisow, and Nancy George Eger.

In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Jackson, August George, William George, Robert George, and Ruth Ann George.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800) where a blessing service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to my Pap – a man whose life was built on love, hard work, and a deep connection to the land he cared for.

Pap and Gram shared the kind of love you read about in stories – steady, loyal, and full of quiet moments that spoke louder than words. You could see it in the way they laughed together, worked side by side, and supported each other through every season of life.

He loved his cows and his farm with all his heart, tending to them every single day, no matter the weather. From him, I learned what it truly means to be responsible – that caring for something or someone is about showing up, even when it's hard, and doing the job right because it matters. He taught me that real work is often quiet, steady, and done without the need for praise. I'' Carry his lessons with me forever. The world feels a little emptier without him, but I'm so grateful for the time we had and the values he passed down.

Rest Easy, Pap. <3
