Monica Anne Olsen

Monica Anne Olsen (also known as "Monique"to her brother-in-law) of Morrice, MI passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Monica was a shining star who lived life to the fullest. She loved gardening, cheffing it up in the kitchen and being up north with her family. She would spend hours every summer tending to her vegetables and various other species of plants in her garden. She loved to be in the kitchen and was a remarkable chef and baker. One of the many ways Monica showed her love was through the meals she would make for her loved ones. When Monica wasn't gardening or making the world's most delicious apple pie, she loved to go to the lake. Whether she was riding in a side-by-side or relaxing lakeside, Monica thoroughly enjoyed being up north and spending quality time with her family.
Monica had a heart of pure gold and a fierce devotion to the people she loved. She was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back without asking for anything in return. She was an adoring mother, wife, sister, friends, and daughter who will be deeply missed by many. Monica's contagious smile and compassionate nature will hold an eternal place in our hearts.
Monica was preceded in death by her father Charles Vavricka and mother Adelaide Vavricka (Sinn). She is survived by her husband Donald Olsen, her children Eric (Jessica) Olsen and Cherish (Daniel) Waller, siblings Victoria Vavricka, Valorie (Roger) Fairbanks, Chris "Kip" Vavricka, Frank (Karen) Vavricka, Charles Vavricka as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her celebration of life will be held from 1-3:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the SCOA, 101 W Mason St
Morrice, MI 48857.
