Morgan Roger Delaney, age 35 of Loudon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his home. Morgan was a graduate of Loudon High School, Class of 2007, and went on to pursue multiple degrees and certifications over the years, which led him to a fulfilling career as a paramedic that spanned far beyond the borders of Tennessee. Striving to live a life to honor his late grandfather who served in the Air Force, Morgan also trained to become an Air Medic, flying and caring for patients across Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. An adventurous soul outside of work as well, he traveled extensively; strolling through the castles of Germany and rock climbing his way across the Rockies while always returning home for the warmth and comfort of gaming with his friends.
Most recently, Morgan was working with American Medical Response (AMR) serving clients in the Knoxville and surrounding areas and pursuing his degree as a Registered Nurse. An immeasurable number of patients have been saved because of his diligence. The people he truly saved, though, are those who were blessed to call him a son, a grandson, a brother, and a friend. Morgan was raised to believe that family extends beyond blood, and would welcome anyone with open arms. He had a unique gift of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. His kindness was genuine, and those who knew him will forever be shaped by his fierce loyalty.
Morgan is preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Delaney (Hodges); maternal grandparents, Paul and Jane Hodges; and paternal grandfather, Jack Delaney.
He is survived by his father, Clifford Roger Delaney; sister and brother-in-law, Victoria and Nathaniel Drake; grandmother, Judy Delaney; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth and Reggie Gaskin, John D. and Donna Delaney, and additional extended family members and a host of friends across the country.
Services celebrating the life of Morgan Delaney will be held 7:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 in the McGill Click Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would love to direct all donations to The Global Medical Response Employee Foundation to provide financial assistance to First Responders in time of need. Donation instructions can be found at www.globalmedicalresponse.com/people/employee-foundation, or mailing a check to 6363 S. Fiddler's Green Circle, 14th Floor, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7:00 PM Friday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Hwy 72 N, Loudon. Online condolences may be left at www.mcgillclick.com
