Morrell L. "Mary" Evans, Jr.

Morrell L. "Marty" Evans, Jr., age 51, entered into rest on Friday January 9, 2026.

He is survived by his sons, Carson Evans, Jared Evans; brothers, Wyatt "Glen" (Kathy) Evans, John (Carrie) Lester Evans; sisters, Wanda (Jyrell) Shedd, Teresa Evans; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Morrell L., Sr. and Wyanett S. Evans; sister, Toni Pitts; maternal grandparents, Wyatt and Eleanor Stephens; and paternal grandparents, Jack Gary Evans and Ruby Lowe.

Marty was a Supervisor at PPM, but most of his life he was a mechanic by trade. He was a car enthusiast and was considered a "Shade Tree Mechanic". He was a drummer and enjoyed playing music and listening to his "Vinyl". He was a member of the Midland Valley Fire Department. Marty will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 3pm at Harvest Community Church in Jackson, SC with Pastor Brad Jay officiating. Burial will take place at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
