Morris Edgerton Case, age 72, of Hendersonville, NC, and formerly of Lynn, MA, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA died at Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville, NC on Saturday, February 21, 2026, following his decades long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born in Hendersonville, NC on December 29, 1953, he was the son of the late Carroll E. and Betty Frances Corn Case of Hendersonville, where Morris graduated from East Henderson High School in 1972. While attending East High, he excelled in football, gymnastics and track. During his senior year, Morris was honored to serve as Student Body President; and named to Who's Who Among American High School Students. He was a 2008 graduate of Ashworth University's Career School.

In early childhood, Morris began working alongside his dad, "Master Mechanic" Doc Case, to learn auto mechanics. Following high school, Morris continued to learn until he, too, became a "Master Mechanic" in the eyes of many at, namely; John Hurley Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC, where he served as Body Shop Manager; at Hendrick BMW-Peugeot in Charlotte, where he served as Service Manager; at Minnehoma Insurance Company in Atlanta, GA, where he served as Division Claims Manager for the Southeastern United States; at Heritage Group/Quaker State Oil Corporation in West Lake Village, CA, where he served as Manufacturers Representative and Mechanical Loss/Failure Consultant; and at Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in Boston, MA, where he served as Lead Foreman/Manager at several MBTA service garages. Having served the people of Boston for more than ten years, Morris retired in October 1999. Upon retirement, the MBTA presented Morris its "Citation for Outstanding Performance" award.

Morris was a skilled bus fleet Foreman/Manager, who, as part of his responsibilities, spearheaded the conversion of public buses to include wheelchair accessible ramps. His technical expertise ensured that passengers using mobility aids could board and exit safely. Certainly, his is a legacy of inclusion for all people that continues to serve the Boston community today. Diagnosed with MS in 1994, Morris, though disabled himself, worked to help others who were disabled.

Morris was a member of the St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Danvers, MA. He enjoyed all genres of music, camping, fishing, star-gazing, and beach trips to Florida.

He is survived by his former wife, Linda Masho Case and son, Spencer Masho Case, both of Newburyport, MA; his sister, Barbara Case Blaine and brother-in-law Paul Blaine of Hendersonville; special nieces Alison Blaine, Zoe Voigt, and Libby Manly of Durham, NC; special great-nieces Rosemary Manly, Hazel Claire Manly, Genevieve Rella, and Juliana Rella; special cousins Cissy and Wayne Thompson of Saluda, NC; and Paula Anderson and family of Lynn, MA, and friends throughout the country.

The funeral is planned for Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Hendersonville at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Father Joshua Johnson of St. Edmund Campion Catholic Church of Flat Rock, NC. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Morris Case may be made to the National MS Society, P. O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891.
