Morris Harold Hartt, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the age of 70. He was a lifelong resident of Venice, LA. For 30 years, Morris shared his life with his beloved companion, Judy Buras. He was the devoted father of Kristin Hartt (Jerry Vernon) and the proud grandfather of Lilly Cashi and Jrew Vernon. Preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Franovich Hartt and Morris Harold Hartt, Sr., and his sister, Rose Ann Hartt. Brother of Verrene Rondey, Janet Roche and several nieces and nephews he adored. Morris was a hardworking and dedicated man who owned and operated his family business, Hartt’s Exxon, famously known for having the “Coldest Beer in Town”. He built everlasting friendships with his customers and employees. Morris was deeply involved in his community. Each year, along with his crew of loyal volunteers, he organized the Hartt’s Children’s Hospital Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser, where he was recognized as a dedicated contributor. He also hosted the annual Night Out Against Crime. He enjoyed time in his garden and caring for his cattle. On weekends, he loved driving to New Orleans in his Corvette, to explore the restaurants and soak in the culture of the city. His happiest times were with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life, making memories they will forever cherish. Known for his generosity, integrity and tireless work ethic, but also for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was well respected by everyone who knew him. Morris will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends, and of course, for those bright blue eyes.
