Moua Sing Saetern, 63, of Norton, KS passed away April 10, 2025 at Hays Medical Center. She was born November 5, 1961 in Luang Prabang, Laos to Weunseng and Famfoun Saetern.
Moua Sing grew up in a small village in Laos. Her parents died when she was young, and she was raised by her uncle and his wife. She moved to the US in 1979. Moua Sing married Seng Saechao while living in Seattle in 1981. They permanently settled in Norton in 1989. She worked for New Age Industrial for 36 years as a Custodian. Coworkers often called her Mama or Mama Sing. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, cooking for others, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Norton Christian Church.
Moua Sing is survived by her husband, Seng Saechao of Norton; daughter, Souk (Bill) Campbell of Overland Park, KS; one grandson and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Sam Saechao.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Norton Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Norton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm Wednesday, April 16 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and sent in care of Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home, 215 W.
