Mr. Gilmore A. Diggs, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on June 28, 1971, to late Sheila Menard and Gilmore Lucky Diggs.

Gilmore was a successful car salesman for many years and during the past several

years he was employed in food service. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he shared

Bible truths with others, especially the hope of living in a paradise. Cooking and having

a meal with family was important to him. He truly enjoyed cooking for others and had

the reputation of making the best fried chicken. He was eager to help his neighbors with

meals, when he was able to do so.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence Diggs, Sr.,

and Murtha Lee Diggs.

Left to cherish his memories are: his father, Gilmore Lucky Diggs (Jamie Lee), his sons

Dominik Diggs (Loreana), Marcus Diggs, brothers, Tagare D. Diggs, Joshua Keoni

Diggs (Chantele) and Dominick Spencer; and two twin grandsons, David and Jordan,

host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on August 2, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at the Petersburg

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 575 Old Wagner Rd, Petersburg.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petersburg Chapel of Bland Funeral Homes, 137 Harrison St.,
