Mrs. Barbara Engrisch Johnson

Barbara Johnson, a devoted mother, "Maw Maw," sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025. She was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith whose kindness touched everyone she met.

Born on May 5, 1940 in Phenix City, Alabama, Barbara lived her life rooted in love for the Lord and for her family. She gave selflessly, loved deeply, and found joy in caring for others. Barbara was the quintessential caregiver, ensuring that anyone who was not feeling well, had the requisite snacks, medicine, Gatorade and a pot of her famous goulash. Her strong spirit, gentle heart, and giving nature were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.

Barbara cherished her family above all else. She was a constant source of love, wisdom, and encouragement, fiercely protective of those she held dear, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Holidays at "Maw Maw's" were always special. She loved nothing more than having her entire family under the same roof. Her main goals were to make sure everyone was happy and fed. Whether through her warm embrace, her words of faith, or her acts of service, she reminded us daily of the beauty of unconditional love.

Barbara's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones. Though she has gone to be with the Lord she loved so dearly, her light will continue to shine through her family and all the lives she touched.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by: Husband, Mr. Louie Frank Johnson; Son, Mr. Joseph Brent Johnson; Son, Mr. Darryl Lee Johnson; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton (Julie Crowley) Engrisch; Brother, Mr. Tony Engrisch.

She is survived by: Son, Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Johnson (Cyndi); Daughter, Ms. Michelle "Mikki" Johnson; Son, Mr. Randall Johnson; Daughter in Law, Mrs. Tonya Johnson; Grandchildren, Erica Johnson Aliffi (J.P.), Candice Watts (Danny), Garrett Johnson (Caitlin), Alexa Adams (Elliot) and Haley Johnson; Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn Watts, Maverick Watts, Stetson Watts, Sebastian "Bash" Aliffi, Cooper Aliffi, Edie Jane Adams; Sister, Joyce Golden; Nephew, John Engrisch.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church in Hiram, Georgia.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church.
