Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Mrunalini (Suma) Dalal, 90, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. She was born on September 24, 1934, in Arvi, India, to Father Laxmanrao Mahajan and Mother Satyabhamanbai Mahajan.
Suma was a woman of remarkable strength and love, whose life was defined by her devotion to her family and her adventurous spirit. In 1971, she embarked on a brave new journey, immigrating to the United States with her three children to join her husband Raweemohan Dalal in Florence, South Carolina. Her determination and unwavering love were the cornerstones that helped her family assimilate into a new culture, building a beautiful life together. Her life was a grand adventure, with homes and memories made across the continent-from Florence, South Carolina, to Norfolk, Nebraska; Fairfield, Texas; Trinidad; Tobago; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the past two decades, she made her home with her son and family in Wichita, Kansas, before relocating to Friendswood, Texas, for good.
Suma was a woman of sharp intellect and curiosity. She was an avid bridge player and
cherished the challenge of a well-crafted crossword puzzle. She fulfilled a love of travel,
exploring the diverse landscapes and cultures of North America, Europe, and Asia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Raweemohan (Ron)
Dalal; her daughter, Wandana Dalal; three sisters; and a brother.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her son, Adwait R. Dalal and his wife Shari of
Friendswood, TX; her daughter, Anaga Maira and her husband Sandeep of Kenilsworth,
Illinois; her five adored grandchildren: Jordan Dalal, Ashtyn Headrick and her husband
Jacob, Arynn Dalal, Viren Maira, and Aarti Maira; and a host of extended family and
friends whose lives she touched deeply.
