Ms. My’Eshia Octavia Barnes was gifted from Our Father God to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin and Evelyn Barnes on June 21, 2000, born and raised in Saginaw Michigan. My’Eshia departed and entered the Kingdom of Heaven by the grace of God on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
My’Eshia was a graduate of SHS Alumni C/O 2018. She completed a series of skill courses, her favorite being CNA. My’Eshia maintained two forms of employment, Saginaw Prep Academy and The Golden Years LLC. As the clock of life ticked, unknowingly winding down to what is now known as her last days she did what she loved, “Caring for others”’ working side-by-side with children, and last but certainly not least spending time with family and friends. She was talented, creative, and hands-on. My’Eshia loved people, everyone was family in her eyes, and her loyalty went unmatched.
My’Eshia Octavia Barnes leaves to cherish her memories alongside her parents, Mr. Melvin and Evelyn Barnes; her grandmothers, Mrs. Leola Whittington and Mrs. Earlene Barnes; a host of aunts and uncles; sisters, Monique (Pride) McNair, Carolynn, Shatoria, and Jasmine Barnes, Breanna Mcafee, Rashinay Young, Ebony Whittington and Tiaishia Mathis; brothers, DeAngelo and D’Marqueyon Whittington Sr., Jonathan Mcafee Sr., Trevion Young and Kenyon Mathis; two God sisters, Charmia and Marcell; godfather, Mr. Toriano Smith Sr. and her bonus Mom, Christy(DeEddie) Sanders; a host of nieces and nephews, Kevin, Marquisha, Iyanna, Heaven, DeAngel, Toriyah, Melody, Kahoni, Marquis, Kristian, Johnathan Jr. , Marquavis.,and Tommy III.
Always near and dear to her heart, “Her Closer Than Most” Several specials to name a few uncle, Larnell (Paula) Whittington; aunt, Patricia Jackson, Omariontaye, Missy S., Kiera E., Tiosha S., Buddy, B., Taylor, La’Niya W., Crevesha T. Zay W., Perria W., Tioni, E’Mya, Tay, Savion and the entire “1023” The MOB.
MyEshia was preceded in death by her niece MarKeya Hutson, and her aunt/bonus mom Dwana Barnes, her ancestors Mrs. Arie Tillman, Richard & Juanita Smith, Melvin Barnes Sr, Albert C Whittington Sr. & Jr., Isaac Christmas Sr. Roderick D. Barnes Sr., Catherine Granison– Peoples, Carolyn Smith, and Lawrence Smith. stepbrother, Dammess Patillo, cousins, Charles Smith, T & P Rueda, Johnell Whittington and Danquarius Murrell.
