Myra L Armstrong

Myra Lavern Armstrong passed away Monday January 26th 2026 after a short illness; she was preceded in death by LG Armstrong, her father, and Myra Ogilvie Armstrong, her mother, and many other relatives over her long, loving and challenging life.

She is survived by her brother, Michael O. Armstrong of Fernandina Beach, FL; nephew, Michael O. Armstrong II (Renee) of Miramar, FL; niece, Cherish Wade (Steve) of Kingsland, GA; great-nephew Steve Wade (Summer); great-great-nephew Michael, great-nieces Sarah Evans (Carter), Abbey Armstrong and Hannah Armstrong.

Myra suffered from a disability, but she enjoyed life. She was outgoing and sincere. Myra volunteered to support fund raising, she was always ready to help any way she could.

Myra would regularly walk the beach looking for sharks teeth and over time had quite a collection. Myra loved her family and loved cats and dogs. On her death bed she wanted see a picture of the family dog and studied it intensely.

In particular, she loved her father, who was very proud of his only daughter. Myra was told her daddy would be waiting for her on the other side and no doubt he was. At the end Myra was brave and focused. She was a Christian all her life. God speed Myra.
