Age 87, formerly of Horseheads, NY. Myra passed away peacefully under the care of Elderwood Nursing Facility in Waverly, NY on March 9th, 2025. She was born in Binghamton, NY on October 20th, 1937. She was the oldest of five children born to Nelson & Edna Cleveland. She graduated from Horseheads High School and then Jean Summers Business School (E.B.I), going on to work at several secretarial\ book keeping jobs for Cornell University, Albee Truck Line, the Sheet Metal Workers Union, National Homes and finally retired from the Hilliard Corporation. Myra was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed history, often centering family vacations around historic sites. She enjoyed travelling with her longtime friend, Paddy Bachman. The two traveled Europe and several destinations in the U.S. She also went on several annual trips with her cousins. She was often their tour guide. Myra's other hobbies included sewing and quilting, bowling, singing in her church choir as well as a barber shop group. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, attending many games and concerts as well as graduations. She was very proud of them all.

She is survived by two siblings and their spouses, Nelson II & Linda Cleveland, and Bonnie & Robert Stuart; along with her four children Michael (Robin) Benesh of Barton, NY, Michelle (James) Decker of Naples, FL, Daniel Benesh of Buffalo, NY, and James (Karen) Benesh of Watkins Glen, NY; fourteen grandchildren Brandon, Katelyn, Nathan, Collin, Ryan, David, Stephen, Adam, Jason, Alyssa, Monica, Abigail, Tatum, and Palmer; 12+ great grandchildren Hannah, Paisley, Lincoln, Aurora, Annalee, Noah, Caydin, Eli, Easton, Adeline, Rocco, Lucca, and little Oliver on the way; with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

My condolences to Myra´s family. Myra and I were coworkers at Albee Truck and I was sad to see her leave, but when Cliff passed away, she left to get medical insurance. There was no such thing as COBRA at that time and we lost a great employee because of it. Glad the laws changed. Myra and I kept in touch for several years after that and was a lovely person and friend. I´m sorry that I can´t come to calling hours, as they are the same time as the calling hours for my Sister in Law. My sympathies to her family!
Rest in Peace, Myra! Marie VonNeida
