Myra Betty (Bobbie) Brock passed away on August 21, 2025, in Brigham City, UT. Bobbie was born to Mira W. (Bud) Grimes and Betty B. Lambuth on February 10, 1944, in Pueblo, CO.

Bobbie’s highest devotions were to family, friends, faith and community. Bobbie was a dedicated and hardworking mother to her immediate family and her extended family, which was defined broadly. As a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Bobbie’s faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her in moments of joy and reflection alike. Over her 48+ years in Brigham City, Bobbie actively supported many organizations and efforts across her community.

Bobbie was an advocate for education and lifelong learning. Bobbie graduated from Orem High School, laying the foundation for a life full of meaningful pursuits and cherished passions. Through her gentle and persistent encouragement, each of her three children obtained college degrees. Bobbie dedicated much of her career to the Brigham City Library where she found joy in her work and in helping others discover their next favorite book. Bobbie also poured her heart into creative pursuits, including cooking, baking, sewing and card making.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings: Dennis W. Grimes (b. 1939), William G. (Billy) Grimes (b. 1941), Karen E. Grimes Quintana (b. 1945) and Randall L. (Randy) Grimes (b. 1957). Bobbie also faced the heart-wrenching loss of a son, David G. Brock. Bobbie carried the memories of lost family and friends with grace, comforted in her faith.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Brock. At her passing, Jerry and Bobbie were just days shy of celebrating 64 years of marriage. Bobbie also leaves behind a son, Jerry S. (Steve) Brock (Kim), and a daughter, Lisa C. Evans (Tony). Bobbie’s legacy continues through five grandchildren, Julia, Brittany, Sean, Megan and Austin, and eight great grandchildren.

As we remember Bobbie Brock, let us celebrate a life filled with service, devotion, kindness, learning and creativity. Her spirit will forever resonate in family and friends, the books she treasured, the quilts she crafted, and the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
