Ronald Wayne Brailsford, 88, passed away on August 21, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born September 20, 1936, in Brigham City, Utah, to Thelma Hess and Percy M. Brailsford.

Ronald graduated from Box Elder High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. On September 23, 1955, he married the love of his life, Dorothy June Gilman, in Corrington, Indiana. They shared 61 years together before her passing on November 22, 2016.

Throughout his life, Ronald worked hard to provide for his family and enjoyed a diverse career. He served as a bus driver for Box Elder School District, a groundskeeper for the Moab Golf Course, a mailman with the U.S. Postal Service, and a terminal manager with Pacific International Express and Harrington Trucking. He was also a longtime member of the Alpine Country Club.

Ronald had many passions. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and flying his Cessna 206 airplane. He found joy in riding tote goats, spending time in the outdoors, and sharing adventures with his family. Above all, Ronald was a protector of his children, loyal, fun-loving, and deeply devoted to his family. He especially loved providing for them, often taking great joy in buying clothes and gifts for Dorothy.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Legacy Village for their loving care they gave to Ronald.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, and his siblings Lynn Brailsford, Janeal Rogers, Sheryl Rogers, and Dee Ray Brailsford.

Ronald is survived by his children: Debbie (Barney) Dahl, Roland (Terri) Brailsford, Gwen (Jeff) Richman, Janet (Chris) Jaramillo, and siblings Kent Brailsford, and Kaylene (Greg) Kozak. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Brigham City Cemetery.
