Myra A. Cappiello, 85, of Brick Township, New Jersey, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 11, 2025.
Myra Cappiello was born at home on July 10, 1939, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to her parents, Helen and Solomon Saffarewich (both deceased). Her cherished brother, Michael Elliott, was born six years later. After graduating from Battin High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, in 1957, Myra pursued a career at Prudential Insurance Company. She met her husband, David A. Cappiello, and they married in 1958. Together, they gave their lives to Jesus Christ on January 18, 1965.
They had two children and resided in Orange, New Jersey, and South Orange, New Jersey, from 1968 until 1985. Myra left Prudential soon after to dedicate herself to being a devoted wife and mother. She loved raising her children and had a passion for teaching young ones. Her most loved job was working at a Montessori school. Her simple yet effective teaching approach allowed children to explore and grow through creativity and imagination without needing toys!
Myra always had an elegant sense of fashion and style and never left the house without looking her best! One of her significant accomplishments was graduating from the Orange Beauty School, further advancing her skills to help women look and feel their best. Myra also pursued a career as a dental receptionist for Dr. Riva in Summit, New Jersey, and later worked in sales at Sterns in West Orange, New Jersey.
She later moved to Edison, New Jersey, before settling in Brick, New Jersey. One of Myra's many talents was her exceptional culinary skills. This passion led her to a "Food Demo Girl" career at ShopRite in Wall, New Jersey, where she shared her love of cooking-and her love of Jesus-with anyone who would listen!
Myra made lasting contributions as a church volunteer for the Children's Ministry and found joy in creating crisis kits for the homeless at Hope Community Church. Her church family at Shiloh Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and Hope Community Church in Manasquan held a special place in her heart.
Hands down, Myra's most significant accomplishment was her family! Myra will be remembered by her son, David M. Cappiello (Diane) and daughter, Susan Love (Greg); grandsons, Michael Cappiello (Michelle), her great-granddaughter, Melina; Benjamin Cappiello (Madison), and Gregory Love (Olivia); her step-grandchildren, Kelly Love (Lisa) and Christopher Love (Stephanie); her great-grandson Patrick John Love. She is also survived by her brother, Michael E. Saffarewich; nephew, Stephen Saffarewich; niece, Lauren Rudaw (Geoff); and grand-nieces, Eve and Ellen Rudaw. She is preceded in death by her step-grandson, Patrick Ryan Love.
The Homecoming Celebration will take place at Shiloh Church, Route 71,
Manasquan, New Jersey, on Monday, March 31, 2025. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m.

Final Thought:
The greatest legacy one can leave is not material possessions but the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Salvation He provides-one that lasts for eternity and is far greater! This is Myra's legacy.
