Myra Loy Halligan was born on April 29, 1939, in Redfield, South Dakota, to Clyde and Letha (LaBore) Eggleston. Granny Myra passed away on Sunday morning, June 15, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was 86 years old.

Myra married Edward Michael Halligan on September 3, 1955, and together they had six children: Jill Ann, Timothy, Patrick, Shannon, Daniel, and Erin. They were members of the Catholic Church.

Myra was a loyal coach's wife for many years and owned a childcare center for 27 years in Duncan, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike; two sons, Shannon and Patrick; and her grandson, Caleb. Myra is survived by a sister Tudie Allen, a brother Bud Eggleston, four of her children: Jill, Tim, Dan, and Erin; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Halligan; seven grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great-grandchildren: Myli and her husband, Robert Anderson, and their sons, Brandon and Connor; Kaylon Halligan; Seth Halligan; Casey Halligan and his sons, Cooper and Kyler; Tori Halligan; Kloe Halligan and her daughter, Astella; Trevor Stone and his wife, Savannah; Presley and her husband, Brady Patry, and their sons, Walker and Callahan.

You may have called her Mother, Milkshake, Granny, Big Granny, or Gran. She had many special children of no relation whom she loved as much as her own. She'd say don't dwell on any hardship or sad tale she made it through-rather, think about the remarkably strong woman she was. Good or bad, she persevered on her trusty kitchen stool, cast iron skillet roaring, and her feet bouncing-music or no music-every single day.

Graveside Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma

The family would like to say thank you to the staff at Cottonwood Creek and Good Shepherd Hospice. Cremation is under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home,
