Myra Lee Herrera, born on September 29, 1945, in Wauchula, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales, under the care of Vitas Hospice.
Myra doted on her family and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. She found joy in simple pleasures, and her love for road trips with the family, reading, and visits to the mountains brought her happiness throughout her life.
Myra is survived by her children, Angelina Rodriguez, Ignacio Bedgood, Andrew Douglas, and John Bedgood, all of Lake Wales; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy for her. She is also survived by her brother, Aaron Douglas, and his wife, Gail of Orlando.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Minnie Douglas; and her brother, James Douglas.
A visitation will take place on December 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
