Myra Jean Marlow Robertson was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on August 21, 1920 to Anna and Morris Marlow. Myra was joined later by sisters, Josephine (Jo) and Lois. Myra grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. There she met a sweet boy, Gerald Keith Robertson, at church youth group who later became her husband.
Myra and Gere were married in Waco Texas in 1941. As Gere served in World War II Myra managed their home. In 1952, they settled in Houston Texas. Myra was a devoted follower of Christ and raised her four daughters, Gail, Linda, Judy and Janean, with biblical guidance and unconditional love. Myra and Gere were charter members of Spring Branch Christian Church.
During their 78 year marriage, Myra and Gere modeled love and devotion that lives on in the hearts of their loved ones. They were the perfect dance partners and often lit up the dance floor and brought smiles to all who witnessed their sweet connection. They traveled extensively and belonged to Square Dancing and Travel groups. Myra was an avid game player and her competitive edge usually resulted in a win.
Myra was a voracious reader, crafter, and seamstress. Her love language was gift-giving, and she made sure that all of her family and friends felt loved, receiving her handmade gifts and cards. There was never a doubt that you were in her thoughts and prayers from her consistent acts of love and encouragement. Myra held her faith, family, friends, and fellowship as the upmost priorities in her life. For 104 wonderful years she ran the good race and was a faithful servant of the Lord. She leaves a lasting legacy of faith, strength, love and devotion. We are confident that she is dancing in heaven, with the love of her life. Her family will carry her spunk and spirit in our hearts forever. Fly high, our beautiful butterfly!
Myra is preceded in heaven by her beloved Gere, her parents, Anna and Morris Marlow, sisters, Josephine (Jo) Smith and Lois Guild, and her daughter, Gail Dagley and son-in-law, Frank Dagley, son-in-law John Russell, and many dear friends.
