Myrlene Jan Cluff passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held numerous positions Including Den Leader, Librarian, and Primary Teacher.
She married Lonnie W. Cluff on January 7, 1995 in the Logan, Utah Temple and they were later divorced. She was loved by everyone she met and worked with. Many of her children's friends considered Myrlene a second mother. She went to school and earned 3 Associates Degrees while raising 5 children and grandchildren. She worked at Wal-Mart up until her cancer progressed, forcing her to quit and move to Utah for her cancer treatments. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and collecting Care Bears and Beanie Babies, but mostly, she liked being around her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Challen Lee Cluff and grandparents.
Myrlene is survived by 4 of her 5 children: Tasha (Tyler) Hutchinson, Lindee Cluff Lashbrook, Garen (Jennessa) Cluff, and Aiden Cluff; daughter-in-law, Holly Ann Cluff; and 9 grandchildren, her mother, Jan Astle, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on July 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at the Winnemucca, Nevada Stake Center; 111 W. McArthur Ave. Winnemucca, NV 89445. A viewing will be held at the Stake Center at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Winnemucca Cemetery, 1811 W. Winnemucca Blvd. Winnemucca, NV 89445.
