Myrna Zimmerman passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Myrna was born in Bronx, NY on February 8, 1940 and although she moved to Miami in 1972, she often thought of herself as a New Yorker and certainly had that New York straight shooter sensibility about her ! Myrna graduated from NYU and briefly taught elementary school before starting her family. Myrna married her husband, Howard in 1966 and they shared a wonderful life together until 2015, when Howard passed away. Myrna is survived by her brother, Joe Jacobs, her 3 children Cindy, Marc and Lee and their spouses Larry, Mercedes, and Ally, and she was so very proud of all of grandchildren Sam and Ryan, Alyson, Eli, Max, Lucas, Zachary and Aden. In recent years, Myrna enjoyed playing mahjong weekly with the ladies, keeping herself busy with goings on in the Quayside community, and being with all her many friends; she looked forward to her Saturday night dinners with Jacqueline and spending time with Sheila and Chuck and even over the past few months when she wasn't feeling well, she wouldn't miss her Saturday visits with Jerry and Miriam and chats with Janet. And finally, Myrna loved her North Carolina Zimmerman family, and especially her twin, the other Myrna Zimmerman ! She truly loved all her friends and family and they kept her going.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Myrna will tell you she was a remarkable force - full of strength, spirit, love and always lots of opinions. Her absence leaves a profound void in our lives, and she will be deeply missed.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday May 15, 2025. Lakeside Memorial Park located at10301 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL 33172. Arrangement by Levitt Weinstein Blasberg Rubin Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.

So sorry to read about the passing of Myrna. My condolences to her family and friends. Myrna and I were friends in high school; Barnard School for Girls. We did 'naughty' things together, i.e. using peroxide and putting blonde streaks in our hair! Myrna had a strong personality and was fun to be with. She will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends.............Marlene Burke (aka Blutstein).

After 50 some odd years of friendship, you are no longer friends you are family, it's so hard to say goodbye. You are forever in our hearts. Sheila and Chuck
