Myron (Mike) Caldwell Obituary
Published by Legacy Remembers on May 30, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Myron H. Caldwell-fondly known as "Uncle Mike"-a beloved and cherished brother, uncle, and friend. Mike passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, warmth, and unwavering love for his family.
Born in Bieber California, and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon, Mike moved to San Francisco in 1961, earning his bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University and carrying his love of learning throughout his life.
One of his greatest joys was buying his first sailboat-a symbol of his independent spirit and love of new experiences. Mike was also an avid traveler, visiting many countries around the globe. He spent extended time in Thailand, where he forged deep friendships and embraced the culture-especially its cuisine, which he delighted in wherever he went. Of all the places he visited, Thailand held his heart.
Mike was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and The SIR Organization, where he found community and lived out his values of faith, service, and camaraderie.
Above all, Mike was a gentle, wise, and loving presence in the lives of those around him. He found great joy in family. gatherings and especially cherished the holidays.
Mike shared a deep bond with his siblings, Claudine and Richard, and was adored by his nieces and nephews for his warmth, quick wit, and the genuine way he made everyone feel important and appreciated.
He lived with quiet grace, kindness, and gratitude-never speaking ill of others, and always lifting those around him. To know Mike was to admire him; to be loved by him was a gift.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Warren; mother, Roxie; and nephew, Donnie Morales. He is survived by his sister, Claudine Morales (Donald); brother, Richard Caldwell (Paula); and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
To honor Mike's memory, the family invites you to live life with fullness, treasure the simple moments, or pause to watch a sunset by the water-a place that always brought him peace and joy.
