Myron Jack Luse age 99, of Mesquite, NV passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. He was born in Davis City, Iowa on June 11, 1926 to Ira Allen Luse and Annetta B Womack Luse. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and stationed in the Pacific and fought in the battle of Okinawa and served in the occupation of Japan.
He married Joan Yvonne Anderson on March 9, 1949 in Wells, MN. They enjoyed 76 years of marriage prior to Joan’s passing on August 10, 2025. They moved to Mesquite 25 years ago from Apple Valley, MN. Myron worked as a supervisor for the United State Post Service. He enjoyed working with his hands, wood-working and being a general handyman that could fix anything. He was a patriot and enjoyed being in the VFW and the American Legion. What brought him to Mesquite was his passion for golf and he enjoyed the local entertainment. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He always had a garden and passed down to his family how to plant, grow, nurture and tend the garden. He loved sports and taught his son how to play baseball.
Myron is survived by his daughter Barbara (Luse) and her husband Steve Elness of Apple Valley, Minnesota, daughter Jeanne (Luse) and her husband Bill Black of Menomonie, Wisconsin, and son Robert Luse of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Lisa (Elness) Kiehl, Chad Elness, Sid Black, Rita (Black) Tredal and her husband Nick Dyer.
His great-grandchildren are Hunter Kiehl, Cade Kiehl, Evan Tredal and Cameron Tredal.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Mesquite City Cemetery 301 Hillside Drive, Mesquite, NV 89027. Family and friends are invited to leave memories and condolences at www.starmortuary.com
