Myron "Mike" Peter Simonar passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at the age of 90.

Mike was born on February 23, 1935, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Raymond and Albina (Suidzinski) Simonar. Growing up in Green Bay, Mike was a diehard Packer fan - he lived and breathed the Packers. After high school graduation, Mike went on to business school. He was a long time salesman with F. Dohmen Drug, and Paper Specialties and later CW Paper. He had 5 wonderful children with this first wife, Jacqueline A. Gering. He met Suzanne Yunk at the Palms Supper Club. The two were united in marriage on November 14, 1980 and joined their two families. Mike was an accomplished bowler and also enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Yunk) Simonar; children Jeanne Ramsay of Vail, AZ, Bradley (Gail) Simonar of Schofield, WI, William (Ceceila) Simonar of Vail, AZ, Paula (Timothy) Mattmiller of Rosholt, WI; Neil (Deb) Simonar of Green Bay, WI and Kimberly Dwan-Collins of Chicago, IL. He is further survived by his brother Thomas (Bonnie) Simonar of DePere, WI; 8 grandchildren Justin, Brooke, Ryan, Shannon, Amanda, Thomas, Melissa and Ashley and 15 great grandchildren. Mike is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and relatives of the Yunk family, and special friends from the YMCA

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia VandeHei and brother-in-law Gerald VandeHei; sons-in-law Bruce Ramsay and Barry Collins II.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of North Central Wisconsin.
