Myron was born July 23, 1960, in Park River, ND, then some years later adopted by Gordon and Marian Swenning. Myron lived in Grand Forks, ND, until Melinda (Swenning) Schmidt joined their family to make it complete. They then relocated to Driscoll, ND.
Myron was raised and graduated from Driscoll Public School in 1978.
Myron then married Lisa Johns on December 8, 1984, and had 3 sons, Mycheal Swenning, Mitchell Swenning, and Mackenzie during their union. Myron also had an older son, Evan Halden.
Not only was Myron known by friends and family as being quite a storyteller, he was somewhat adventurous and moved often. Myron was known to travel around the states of North Dakota and Minnesota, finding a new place to set his roots. In his middle ages, he was able to reconnect with his biological family while moving around.
Myron is survived in death by his four sons; Evan (Dawn) Halden and their three sons: Joshua, Zachary, and Nathaniel, Michael Swenning and son Grant Swenning, Mitchell (Dacer) Swenning and two sons: ELI and Eliza, Mackenzie (Jaron) Swenning; his niece Kandy Swenning and her two daughters Briar and Amerah.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Marian Swenning, sister, Melinda (Swenning) Schmidt; aunt and uncle, Gladys and Leonard Diede; grandparents, Haral and Pricilla (Olauson) Christianson; aunt, Ruby Christianson; and many cousins and biological family members.
Please join the family at Grace Lutheran Church in Driscoll for Service, funeral, coffee, bars, and following at the Grace Lutheran Cemetery on Sunday, Sept 7th, 2025, at 9:30 AM.
