Roger was honored to have served his country in the US Air Force. He enjoyed restoring bows and was a member of the National Archery Association. Roger also held a patent for a piece that used on the atomic bomb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ben Swenning.
Survivors include his daughters Buffy (Benny) Maynard, Terissa (Andy) Rapp, and Evie (Jeff) Hodge; 36 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; best friend, partner in crime and sister Linda (Rick) Dreher; and sister in law Joy Swenning.
A celebration of life will be held at Gospel Tabernacle Church on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Swenning and his family.
