Myrtle Chambles, age 94, of Crockett passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her home. Myrtle was born September 14, 1930 in Latexo, Texas to parents, Ernest Hiser and Jessie Dishongh Hiser. She was a graduate of Latexo High
School and was a member of the Latexo Methodist Church. Myrtle always enjoyed planting her flowers in the spring time and loved going to estate sales.
Myrtle is survived by children, Kenneth Chambles of Vidor, Sherree Pipps of Beaumont; daughter-in-law, Annie Chambles of Vidor; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; special friends and caregivers, Bill and Lisa Gibson of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and loving friends. She was preceded in death by husband, John R. Chambles; son, John Delton Chambles; grandchildren, Brandy Chambles, Joseph Chambles; parents, Ernest and Jessie Hiser.
Funeral services for Myrtle Chambles will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Richard Gillet officiating. Interment will follow at the Latexo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
