Myrtle Louise Conner (90) from Fincastle, VA went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ernest V. Conner and Clarice Conner.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers and five sisters. Leander Conner and wife Christine, Riley Conner and wife Kathryn, Ernestine Conner, Christine Gibson and husband Ed, Mary Howell and husband Robert, Irene Thacker and husband Earl, Cassie Lowe and husband Paul.

Myrtle has many nieces and nephews who will miss her.

Myrtle worked at Camp Bethel for 29 years. She retired from there in 2000. She was a cook and ran the kitchen. She loved her time at Camp Bethel.

Myrtle attended Troutville Church of the Brethren and New Bethel Church of the Brethren. She loved going to church and she loved her church family.

We want to thank her neighbors, Ester and Tim. They were like family to her. They visited her and checked on her often.

We would also like to thank the staff at South Roanoke Nursing Home for taking care of our dear Aunt Myrtle, especially Virginia and Paula.

We thank Good Samaritan for helping Aunt Myrtle through her last days.

A visitation will be held on January 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Rader Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
