Mrs. Thomas was born on September 1, 1935, in Royston, GA, daughter of the late Harmon Bennett, Sr. and the late Inez McCollum Bennett. She graduated from Lavonia High School in 1954 and worked at Canon Elementary and Royston Elementary Cafeteria for 30 years. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Canon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Daniel Thomas; grandson, Cruz Thomas and brother, Harmon "Croc" Bennett, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Stevie Thomas (Tina) of Canon, GA and Stoney Thomas (Lisa) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Desiree' Thomas, and Harley Daniel Thomas; great granddaughter, Taliya Thomas and two precious great grandsons.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at Canon Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, with Rev. Paul Creason and Rev. Roger Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery, Canon, GA..
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening. At other times, the family will be at the home.
Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
