Myrtle Joy Singer Grace, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was born on January 7, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph E. Singer and Myrtle Bourg Singer. She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson, LA and was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Garner Business College. Myrtle was a retiree of the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department.

Myrtle was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Leonard R. Grace for 57 years before his passing in 2010. She was the most loving and caring mother to Nancy Grace Durnin (Arnold), Kelly Grace High, Peggy Grace Erminger, and Robert Grace (Lee). She was the loving grandmother to Amanda Taylor (Greg), Elizabeth Fisher (Shaun), Jonathan High (Antonina), James Erminger Jr., and Brienne Bettencourt (Joseph). She was the great-grandmother of Zachary Taylor, Isabella Taylor, Jillian Fisher, Aiden Fisher, and Noah High. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Thomas Durnin Jr., Daniel High, and James Erminger, Sr., as well as her beloved grandson, Jason Paul High.

Myrtle Joy will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. Her bright blue eyes, beautiful smile, infectious laugh and her warm hugs will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 1:00 pm followed by burial. To order flowers or offer condolences, please visit www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
