Myrtle was born July 12, 1936 in Torrington, Wyoming as the daughter of Ray and Lillian (Ewing) Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Yoder, Wyoming, graduating Yoder High School in 1954. She married Jerald Mullock on February 23, 1955 in Yoder. They farmed in the Yoder area for many years. Myrtle enjoyed raising chickens, milking cows, growing a garden, knitting, crocheting, and collecting stamps/coins. She took great pride in her cooking, especially making meals and taking them to the wheat fields during harvest. She was a member of the Yoder Women's Club and taught Sunday School at the Yoder Presbyterian Church. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling. Myrtle always made her grandchildren feel deeply loved.

It was such an honor to take care of such a wonderful woman. Im so going to miss her dearly. I would help her out and she would fight me at first then give in and after she was helped she would tell you that you were the best and so full of comments. She would ask me how much do I owe you and I would say nothing at all other her beautiful smile and she would laugh and pat my hand again giving the best comments. I sure did love her so very much.
