Mrs. Myrtle D. Smiling, 80, of 5166 McLeod Drive, Maxton, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2023, surrounded by family. She was loved my many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Smiling Sr.; her parents, Lloyd and Fodia Cummings; her sisters, Betty, Lottie, Mattie, Bessie and Tessie; her brothers, Donald, Garner, Harvey, Delton and Paul.
Myrtle leaves behind to cherish her memories her three children, Debbie Locklear (Dean), William Smiling Jr. (Stephanie) and Steven Smiling; two brothers, Samuel Cumming sand Gurney Cummings; three sisters, Mary Scott, Gail Locklear and Sara Kline; seven grandchildren, Daniel Locklear, Devon Locklear, Dustin Locklear, Garrett Hammonds, Jacob Smiling, Jared Smiling, Jillian Smiling; six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
