July 25, 1936 - December 17, 2024 Myrtle "Mirt" Irene Allen Smoot, age 88, of Camden, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. Mrs. Smoot was born on July 25, 1936, in Benton County, TN to the late Charlie Lester Allen and the late Clara Dell Anderson Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Smoot; brothers, William Glen Allen and C.L. Allen; and a sister, Artie Miss Allen. Mrs. Smoot was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survived by:
Son: Ricky Dale Pierce of TX
Daughter: Peggy Ann (Emory) Florence III of Camden, TN
Grandchild: Brittney Ann (Matthew) Ray
She is also survived by her loving caretakers that have been with her over the last 2 ½ years: Stephanie Bain, Donna Melton, Angie Ball, Margaret Stibal, Stephanie Graves, Jean Hall, Ann Pafford
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 10:00-1:00 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery.
