Myrtle Strickland Obituary
She was born August 11, 1951 in Panama City, Florida.
She loved fishing, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and telling stories of the past.
Myrt is preceded in death by her father, James Strickland, her mother, Mary Bynum, her brother, Bo Strickland and her sister, Helen Kirkland.
She is survived by her daughters, Marian Barfield Jones (Shannon), Robbie Patterson (Joe), Cindy Potts (Jeff), her son, Jason Strickland, grandchildren; Amanda Hicks (John), Jeffery Edwards, Emily Ladik (Lance), Brooke Patterson (John), D.J. Barfield , Autumn Barfield, Shana Potts, Layla Potts, Kirsten Patterson, Kinsley Patterson and Kaitlyn Patterson, great-grandchildren; J.J., Kayla, Raven, Jaden, Daisy-Mai, Zepariah, Novaleigh and Maverick, great-great-grandchildren; Brantley, Kolton, J.J., Houston, Ansley and Adalyn, lots of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
The family will have a celebration of Myrt's life Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Panama City Marina Boat Launch.
