Myrtle Marie Williamson, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2025, at Village Green Memory Care in Houston, Texas.
Myrtle was born October 9, 1936, in Port Arthur, Texas to George Herbert Martin and Mildred Kathleen Martin. She was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and member and a founder of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Myrtle was a Nurse serving at St. Mary Hospital for many years.
She was predeceased by her best friend and loving husband of 59 years, Robert Leon Williamson of Port Arthur, Texas.
She is survived by Ellyn Childs and her husband Garry of Nederland, Texas, Marty Williamson and his wife Sylvia of Cypress, Texas, Phil Williamson of Eugene, Oregon, Susan Pipkin and her husband John of Cypress, Texas, and Amy Matson and her husband Jim of Yuba City, California; grandchildren; Aaron Childs and his wife, Leah, Tyler Childs and his wife, Jacky, Grant Childs and his wife, Jasmine, Meredith Morris and her husband, Thomas, Alex Williamson, Lauren Williamson and her fiancé, Nate, Brandt Williamson, Caleb Williamson and his wife, Jenny, Emory Pipkin, and Bethany Pipkin and her fiancé, Derian; great grandchildren: Frankie and Gus Childs.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas, with Reverend Duane Srader officiating. The burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
