We gather here today to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Nadia, who went home on March 2, 2025, at 6:15 pm. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague, Nadia touched countless lives with her vibrant spirit and boundless compassion. She greeted everyone she met with a smile that made each of us here feel loved. Today, we remember not just who she was to us but the extraordinary light she brought into the world.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Ella Crawford, Nadia’s older sister. Nadia was born in the country of Belize, Central America on December 9th, 1960– the 10th child of Alma and Winston Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one beloved brother Cuthburt Tucker. Growing up in Crooked Tree Village among 10 sisters and 3 brothers, there was rarely a dull moment. She attended Crooked Tree Government School and was very active in sports and our community. She had a zest for life that was truly contagious. After completing her education, she pursued a path in healthcare where her love and compassion for others took her far. It was during this time she met her husband Arthur Miller beginning their twenty-three years together, building a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure.

Nadia created a home filled with extraordinary warmth. It was her hosting and cooking that brought everyone together filled with love that truly made her home a sanctuary for all who entered. Nadia had a remarkable gift for making anyone feel comfortable and listened to, her generosity knew no bounds. She consistently dedicated herself to helping others, whether through supporting local families facing hardship, her devoted service with the Good News Club and Apopka Woman's Club, and her eff orts in collecting and shipping essential medical supplies back to Belize. Nadia believed deeply in making a diff erence in people's lives, often saying that giving to others, whether near or far, was not just a responsibility but her greatest joy. Her legacy lives on through her beloved children, Natalee and Delia, and her cherished grandchildren—Taylor, Cassie, Savannah, and Glenn Jr.—as well as in the countless lives she touched with her presence. She may no longer be with us physically but Nadia's spirit continues to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Though she is gone she will never be forgotten. We will all miss her very much but are looking forward to being reunited with her one day.
