LINDELL, Nanci – of Oscoda, formerly of Clio, age 74, died peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Erik Cloeter officiating. Nanci was born May 28, 1951, in Rochester, New York, to Donald and Eleanor (Cook) Joslin. She grew up in Lakewood, New York, graduating from Southwestern Central High School and earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Oswego State University. She married her beloved husband, John "Jack" Lindell, in 1973, and together they shared 52 years of marriage, 58 years in total, and raised two beautiful children. Nanci proudly worked at Mt. Morris Community Schools and Tawas Community Schools as an in-school suspension supervisor. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, the Bunko Clio Group, Oscoda Quilters Club, and the Oscoda Bridge Club. Nanci was known for making incredible quilts and found solace in keeping her hands busy with quilting. She enjoyed being outdoors camping - in fact, she and Jack spent the last twelve summers as campground hosts at the Harrisville State Park, and she liked hunting for and collecting Petoskey stones. Above all, Nanci loved her family. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be truly missed.
Nanci is forever loved by: Husband, Jack; Children: Jason (Kristy) Lindell and Jocelin (Kevin) Dvorak; Granddaughter, Cora Dvorak; Beloved bonus granddaughters: Alivia and Emma Dvorak; Mother, Eleanor Joslin; Siblings: Mike (Nancy) Joslin of Texas, Scott (Earnestine) Joslin of Pennsylvania, and Shirley Joslin of New York; In-laws: Jim (Lois) Lindell and Jeff (Deb) Lindell; Nieces and Nephews: Jaime, Nicole, Britney, Jim, Jared, and Jay; Many extended family members and wonderful friends.
