Nancy L. Apperson, 84 of Chandlersville, passed away peacefully at 9:00 pm, Monday, January 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born in Penn Yan, New York, on July 12, 1940. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia (Kinyoun) Wilson. Nancy dedicated herself to ensuring the well-being of those she held dear. Her family was her world, and she spared no effort in making sure they were cared for in every possible way. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose memory will forever be cherished by the ones she leaves behind.
Nancy is survived by her children, Brian (Laura) Apperson of Zanesville, Jeff Apperson of Zanesville, Melissa (Troy) McConnell of Chandlersville and Andy (Candi) Apperson of Chandlersville; her grandsons, Daniel Apperson and Tyler Apperson, whom she helped raise; Justin (Cassandra) Whitlatch, Bradley (Katlyn) Whitlatch, and Christopher (Samantha) Del Toro; her granddaughters, Skye Factor and Emily (Dylan) Marple; her great-grandchildren, Leon, Ollie, Colson, Kallie, Kenny, Kallie, and Kyson; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Wilson; her special four-legged friend, Freddy; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred S. Apperson, who passed away on April 7, 2015; her siblings, Grover Wilson, Norma Fisher, Lydia Wilson, and Edward Wilson; as well as her daughter-in-law, Beverly Apperson.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Interim Hospice Aides, Chastity and Amanda, who cared for mom during her last hours, as well as the Saling, McConnell, and Best families, who always loved mom like family.
In honor of Nancy, the family asks to extend kindness to someone.
A private graveside service was held for the family, and Nancy was laid to rest beside Fred in the Chandlersville Cemetery.
