Nancy Autry

Nancy Autry, of Covington, GA passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the age of 79. A strong woman of faith, she touched all who knew her with her kindness and generosity. Mrs. Autry cherished her family above all, nurturing her 3 boys with boundless love and support. A devoted wife, known for her delicious pound cake and exceptional cooking, she brought joy to countless gatherings. Mrs. Autry will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever remember her sense of humor, smile and contagious laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Autry; parents, Homer Grier and Eleanor Holifield; and sister, Margaret Autry.

Survivors include her children, Rich Autry, Chris Autry (Michele), Mitch Autry (Jolie); brother, Grier Holifield, Jr. (Nancy); 11 grandchildren; as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Autry will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, 11:00 A.M, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Jeff Autry officiating and interment following at Mount Paran Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Social Circle. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to her service, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
