Nancy Ruth Baker, 85, of Winters, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025.
She was born on August 20, 1939, in Runnels County, Texas, to Claud Thompson and Verda Mae Yancey. Raised with strong values of faith, family, and service, Nancy lived a life marked by love, devotion, and quiet strength.
On August 31, 1957, she married Jerry "Jake" Arthur Baker in Waco, Texas. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, raising a family and building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories. Nancy was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry "Jake" Baker; her parents, Claud Thompson and Verda Mae Yancey; and her daughter, Melissa Jones.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Delacruz; and her sons, Russ Baker and Rodger Baker.
Nancy's legacy of love, resilience, and compassion lives on through those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held in accordance with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
