Nancy Rosemary Balsinger

Rosemary Balsinger (nee: Horner) of Medina Ohio, passed away on the evening of August 1st, 2024 unexpectedly in her home; several weeks after completing her 70th orbit around the sun.
Rosemary was born on the 26th of June 1954 in Greeneville, Tennessee to John Calvin Horner, Jr. and Nancy Ruth Winter Horner. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1976 and pursed a career in Education.
Rosemary was a beloved member o the City of Medina Community, a foundational member of the Medina Presbyterian Church, and a 24-year teacher at Medina High School, from 1996-2020. Teaching was her passion, and she touched thousands of students' lives in her time at MHS, as well as her years in College Park, Georgia, and Bible school.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years Rick Balsinger (Medina, OH), daughter Amy Balsinger (Medina, OH) and son Matthew Balsinger (Wooster, OH). She was preceded in death by her parents John Calvin Horner, Jr. (Greeneville, TN) and Nancy Ruth Winter Horner (Greeneville, TN).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 14th at the Medina Presbyterian Church 5020 Burgundy Bay Blvd. Medina, OH 44256, with a reception of friends at the beginning at 9:30 am with the celebration beginning at 11:00 am and a luncheon to follow.
