Nancy Banfield, 77, of Austintown, formerly of Liberty Twp., passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home. Nancy was born October 22, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Julia (Fammartino) Schuster.
Nancy enjoyed sewing and making crafts, but her greatest enjoyment of all was being with and loving her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Melissa (Severt), Scott (Jennifer) Banfield, and Kimberly (Matthew) Brubaker; her brother Patrick Schuster; and grandchildren, Ryan, Zahne, Dean and Jason.
Besides her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Jerry Banfield, whom she married in 1969 and died in 2003; her brothers, Michael Schuster and George Schuster; her sister, Gloria Sipusic, and her son in law, Dave Severt.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Nancy will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to: Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406, in memory of Nancy for her love of animals.
